Objectives
How do you turn a simple daily ritual into a digital design statement?
In 2023, Adobe approached Cycle, the club and design studio to come together in Lille, France with an invitation: explore the boundaries of product design using their 3D & Immersive Substance Suite.
The brief? Conceptualize a coffee machine. But not just any machine. They wanted something bold. Something smart. Something unexpected.
We asked ourselves:
What if making coffee felt more like a conversation?
This wasn’t just about building another countertop appliance,it was about reimagining how we interact with objects. We set out to create a coffee machine that feels alive: one that greets you, responds to your touch, and expresses your personal style. By blending industrial design, branding, and digital interfaces, we designed a seamless, sensory experience around a daily ritual.
Outcomes
What emerged was a coffee machine of the future, a perfect blend of industrial design and digital interaction. One that doesn’t just make coffee, but makes a statement.
It was more than a concept,it was an invitation to rethink how we interact with everyday objects. A celebration of design, materials, technology, and experience.
And above all, it was a collaborative showcase of what’s possible when creativity meets cutting-edge tools.
The Impact:
Presented exclusively to Adobe as part of their 3D & Immersive Experience initiative.
Showcased the power of Substance tools for fast, realistic prototyping.
Inspired discussions on the future of interactive product design.
